Main Partners

One of Catalonia’s oldest and most respected organizations, UEC brings together hiking and mountaineering enthusiasts from across the region. Since its beginnings in 1904 with the founding of the Associació Joventut Excursionista AVANT, UEC has promoted outdoor adventure, preserved the cultural and natural heritage of the mountains, and organized excursions, educational programs, and cultural events. The organization took its modern form in 1933, when several Barcelona clubs merged, creating the UEC we know today.
